In ancient times, September and October were dedicated to bringing in the harvest. Halloween, the half-way point between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, would mark the transition from the harvest season to the time of clearing, ending and release.
In those days, we would have taken inspiration from nature and slowed our pace. Instead, we ramp up our schedule to meet the demands of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.
There is much going on in our world. I want to share insight from the astrological perspective to shine a light on the situation. Mars, the planet that is connected to will, power, and taking action will spend an unusually long time in its least favorite sign, Cancer. We may feel impulsive when the fiery energy of Mars creates stress around our values and with our sense of hearth and home.
To complicate this, Pluto, in Capricorn, is opposing Mars. This opposition is creating another level of tension. Pluto, the higher vibration of Mars, encourages transformative action and working through the deep emotions. We can see this tension globally. It is also affecting each of us on a personal level. We have the power to activate our willpower to create positive change. You can use the energy to clarify your values and align your actions with what is meaningful to you.
Pluto’s journey through Capricorn, which began in 2008, will end this month as it moves into Aquarius until 2043. We are certainly feeling this power shift as Pluto sits on the karmic last degree of Capricorn. Pluto is completing the process of transforming our existing systems, structures and stability.
Pluto in Aquarius is expected to bring about remarkable technological developments. The symbol for Aquarius is the Water Bearer, which represents the gifts of truth and pure intention. I believe that Pluto in Aquarius will empower a new level of humanitarianism creating a healthier, happier, and more peaceful world.
In the meantime, it is up to each of us to live true to the grace of our soul. During this time, we should have patience with ourselves and others. We need to be resilient and stay flexible in the face of so many unknowns.
The times call for practical and applicable practices. My classes and consultations hold this intention.
Kundalini Yoga is an ancient technology that empowers resilience and higher consciousness. Regardless of its bad press, it is grounded in grace and wisdom. Every time I practice and/or teach Kundalini Yoga, its efficacy is validated. It clears stress, anxiety, depression and energy blockages. It empowers concentration, focus and insight. It is my intention that my yoga class is accessible to anyone. Modifications are given and honored. It is a practice of awareness. We do only that which we can do safely. Please join me for Kundalini Yoga at 10am on Fridays at Sanctuary.
My monthly offering, Wisdom Circle, is a safe place to land. We draw inspiration and insight from esoteric tools, meditation, breathwork and spiritual messages. The next Wisdom Circle is scheduled for December 1st from 2pm to 4pm at Sanctuary.
I am pleased to say that I will be offering Tuning In to 2025 on January 1st at Sanctuary Yoga. It is such a wonderful way to bless and affirm the new year.
Please know that it is an honor to work one-on-one with clients. It is my hope that our time together is soulful, honoring your sacred energetics, and expanding a connection and experience of your Higher Self, Spiritual Supporters and the Infinite.
Our world is complicated. Many consider this to be a time of transition from one age to another. Change is hard. Old dogmas fight to retain control. The call for transformation is persistent. We must find ways to navigate the rough terrain.
One of the most reliable and approachable tools is mantra practice. Mantras are vibrational medicine, and a mantra practice empowers your personal alchemy. A 40-day dedication will create measurable results.
As a dedicated and experienced mantra practitioner, I have been practicing the gayatri mantra (108 repetitions) for most of 2024. This mantra affirms my intention to bring light to myself, my family, my community and to the world.
General meaning: We meditate on that most adored Supreme Lord, the creator, whose effulgence (divine light) illumines all realms (physical, mental and spiritual). May this divine light illuminate our intellect.
The link is a youtube with Deva Premal. It is lovely. Please contact me if you are interested in creating a mantra practice. It will be fun to find one that will support your intention and affirmation.
Music is so important. It is one of my remedies. Here is a song that has been speaking to me lately. I have it on my Good Grace Spotify playlist. The song is titled, Divine Remembering by Doe Paoro. I love the lines:
“I release what is not meant for me.
I believe what’s meant for me will be for me.”
Holding you in my heart. Many Blessings to you and yours.
